The
Register Committee
All external experts on the Register
Committee demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experiences
in the respective study areas (corporate ethics, environment,
industrial relations, economics and ethics, human rights and
international relations). These experts are on the committee
in a personal capacity and in no way represent the
organisations from where they acquired their professional
knowledge. The completely independent nature of this body
guarantees an objective judgement of company profiles.
The current members of the Register Committee:
- Dirk Ameel is the
Executive Officer of EUROCADRES (which represents
professional and managerial staff and is associated with
the European Trade Union ). He shows a special interest in topics
related to the North-South divide and Corporate social
responsibility.
- Stephan Cludts
holds a PhD in Business Administration and a Master's
Degree in Philosophy. He works as an advisor for the
'Commission de Régulation de l'Electricité et du Gaz'
(CREG).
- Bo Johnsson is a
retired economist from the ICFTU (International
Confederation of Free Trade Unions) and currently works as a
consultant for ACTRAV (the ILO Bureau for Workers'
Activities) on research capacity building. This programme
focuses on training unionists in analysing company
performance. Bo Johnsson has a background in the Swedish
trade union movement and he also worked for the ILO. He has
been teaching at the Stockholm University and universities
in India and elsewhere.
- Luc Hens is a
biologist. He is currently professor at the Free University of Brussels
(VUB) in the Human Ecology
department. His research focuses on sustainable development
and instruments for environmental managment.
- Luc Van Liedekerke
is an economist and philosopher. He teaches philosophy and business ethics at the
Universities of Leuven and Antwerp.
- Suzy Sumner has a
background in human rights and works for SOLIDAR, the
network of economic and social justice NGOs, on Corporate
Social Responsibility. She is an active trade unionist and
her main interest is international social
rights.
- Axel Gosseries is
a Permanent Research Fellow of the Belgian National Fund
for Scientific Research (FNRS) based at the Chaire Hoover
d'éthique économique et sociale (Louvain La Neuve). He
holds a PhD in Philosophy. He works in the area of
political philosophy and ethical theory and has published
several articles in academic journals, including in the
field of business ethics.
- Stephanos Anastasiadis
is presently engaged in doctoral studies at the
Nottingham University Business School's International
Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility. He has a
professional background in environmental and social
issues, notably in the European policy environment.
